this is a part of the course wybrane zagadnienia informatyki (Chosen topics in Computer Science)
devoted entirely to distributed computing. It will take the first half of this semester -- altogether 7-8 weeks
The lecture will be fully online over the MS Teams platform.
The exercises will be lead by dr Gebala (Friday afternoon).
This course is for master students from informatyka algorytmiczna, however other well motivated students are welcome, too.
In this case, please contact the dean office, if you wish to get credits for the course. Hopefully, you can.
Other participants are also welcome but need to be admited in the MS Teams platform.

Friday, 9:15-11:00, MS Teams, it can be adjusted by logistics reasons
the login and the password will be given during the first lecture
Requirements:
There is no exam. The grading will be based on the results from the
exercises. Dr Gebala sets the detailed rules concerning the distributed computing part as well as
the whole course.

applying known algorithmic paradigms according to the relevant computing model
constructing new algorithms based on advanced paradigms
analyzing complexity of algorithms and complexity of algorithmic problems

ability to analyse limitations of the solution obtained,
adjusting effort to optimize the solution to economic needs.
Prerequisitives:
standard Algorithms and Data Structures knowledge,
no particular programming skills required
